UFC President Dana White has come forward with his thoughts on Mike Jackson’s recent performance against CM Punk. Speaking after the recent fight night, White revealed that he is not too pleased with the results.
The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) hosted the highly anticipated fight card of UFC 225 on Saturday, June 9, from inside the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. Featured on the night’s live pay-per-view main card, former WWE superstar CM Punk made his big octagon return against Mike Jackson, another fighter to lose his octagon debut to Mickey Gall.
Mike Jackson put on a dominant performance over CM Punk, ultimately earning a unanimous decision victory over the fighter. However, Jackson has since come under fire for seemingly not fighting at his highest level of intensity.
Speaking to media after UFC 225, UFC President Dana White offered his thoughts on Mike Jackson’s performance.
“I don’t know what he did before but he needs to go back to that.” White said. “He’s 0-2 as far as I’m concerned. … I regretted not putting that fight on Fight Pass.”
