Former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor made headlines on April 5 for allegedly attacking a bus filled with red corner fighters for UFC 223 within the loading dock of the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The fighter is now facing misdemeanor charges of assault and a felony charge of criminal mischief for the fracas.
Since the Ireland native made bail and was granted permission to travel internationally, UFC President Dana White and “Notorious” have been set to meet to discuss McGregor’s fighting future a few times now. However, the meeting has yet to come to fruition.
Speaking to TMZ Sports, Dana White revealed that he and McGregor are now set to meet on June 18.
“He and I are meeting on the 18th of this month,” White said. McGregor most recently had his court hearing on June 14, in which the fighter’s team revealed that they plan to pursue a plea deal.
The court was dismissed and “Notorious” will be due back in court to discuss the plea on July 26.
“I don’t know whats gonna happen.” White said, speaking on McGregor’s current issues with the court.” I don’t know what Conor has planned. I don’t know what Conor and his team have worked on.”
