The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is in Las Vegas, Nev. on Friday, July 6, for their latest fight card. With the featherweight finale for The Ultimate Fighter 27 having already gone down, a lightweight victor has yet to be crowned.
The finale for The Ultimate Fighter 27 is going down inside the Pearl Theatre for the Las Vegas crowd, with the night’s co-headliner now set to go down. In the co-main event, TUF 27 lightweight finalists Mike Trizano of Team Miocic and Joe Giannetti of Team Cormier are battling it out for a contract with the UFC. Check out the UFC results down below.
Giannetti pushed the pressure on his opponent early in the first round, eventually getting Trizano to the canvas. The two mixed martial artists spent the rest of the round in a grappling match, but neither competitor was able to get a finish.
Trizano returned in the second round with a vengeance, taking his opponent to the canvas early on. However, Giannetti was able to neutralize his opponent’s ground and pound with his grappling.
The two fighters opened up the final round with a series of striking exchanges. Trizano appeared to be the more urgent of the two competitors, as the fighter continued to walk down Giannetti.
However, neither fighter was able to get a finish before the sound of the bell. This one has gone the distance.
