UFC superstar Conor McGregor had his court date on Thursday, as the fighter faced up to a potential 12 charges for a fracas that took place in Brooklyn, New York back on April 5. Following McGregor’s successful plea deal, UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov has come forward to call out “Notorious” for a fight in Nov.
Conor McGregor led a large entourage backstage of the Barclays Center on April 5, in which the group then allegedly attacked a UFC bus filled with fighters. Nurmagomedov was the reported target, as the fighter previously had an altercation with Conor McGregor’s teammate Artem Lobov.
Appearing in court on July 26, McGregor locked down a plea deal. The fighter plead guilty to one count of disorderly conduct. The fighter’s felony charges were dropped and McGregor will not be seeing any jail time.
Rather, the Ireland native is due to partake in five days of cimmunity service, 1-3 days of anger management evaluation and is due to pay restitution to the UFC fighter bus damaged in the fracas. Speaking to MMA Junkie, Khabib Nurmagomedov has since called out Conor McGregor to fight at UFC 217.
The event will take place Nov. 4 from within the Madison Square Garden arena in New York, live on pay-per-view. Check out the call out below.
“Glad that he stayed out of jail, because I wouldn’t be able to punish him in that case. Now he needs to bring his Irish team to (Madison Square Garden) in November and finish our business.”
