UFC superstar Conor McGregor was involved in a fracas that took place back on April 5 in Brooklyn, New York. The fracas ended in the damaging of a UFC charter bus, as well as the injury of several individuals.
Among them, former UFC flyweight contender Ray Borg was forced out of his match up for UFC 223 after suffering an injury from the incident. Consequently, Conor McGregor was dealt a no contact order by the New York court system concerning Ray Borg, as well as a few others.
Still, it would appear that Ray Borg is set to fight at UFC 229. Conor McGregor will be headlining UFC 229 on Oct. 6 in a title fight against UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Now ESPN’s Brett Okamoto has come forward to report that Joseph Benavidez is now set to face Ray Borg on the night’s card in Las Vegas, Nev.
