Tijuana, Mexico housed an epic fight card at last night’s Combate Americas event. One fight in particular managed to pull attention from many viewers, but probably not for the intended reason.
Irving Hernandez managed to snag a TKO victory over Jose Alday. The doctors called a stop to the fight after seeing that Alday’s face has seen better days.
The fighter’s face, above the left eye, split open under the pressure of Hernandez’s strikes. The gash left for a more than a feasible call for a stoppage, as can be seen below.
