Inaugural ONE atomweight champion Angela “Unstoppable” Lee is currently riding a 7-0 undefeated record. With a recent victory over formerly undefeated Jenny Huang and currently set to face undefeated Istela Nunes, it would appear that “Unstoppable” is looking to put all other undefeated fighters to rest. Now, she wants undefeated UFC strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk to be added to the list.
The concept of the two MMA warriors facing off has come up before, but Lee has decided to address it directly.
On Monday’s edition of The MMA Hour, Lee said
“It’s something that I’m all open for. I think that it would be a really great opportunity. And, I think that for me every day I’m just learning and growing and evolving even more as a fighter. And so it would be a really great fight. I would definitely look forward to that.”
While it is unlikely this match-up will happen, as both fighters belong to separate promotions, Lee is set defend her belt again within the ONE promotion.
Lee will be facing Istela Nunes at ONE: Dynasty of Heroes in Singapore on May 26.
