UFC on FOX 24 went down tonight inside the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Demetrious Johnson defended is flyweight championship from challenger Wilson Reis in the night’s main event. In the co-main event, Rose Namajunas made another step towards getting a title shot of her own.
In the co-main event, strawweights Rose “Thug” Namajunas and Michelle “Karate Hottie” Waterson through down for division dominance. Rose Namajunas managed to land a submission victory over her opponent, getting the fighter that much closer to title contention.
In an interview with UFC on FOX, UFC President Dana White agreed with the fighter. He thinks she’s ready for a title shot.
“Rose came out tonight and looked like an absolute stud. I mean the fight could not have gone more perfect for her. I thought she looked incredible tonight. I agreed with her after the fight, I think she’s ready to challenge for the title.” White said.
