UFC 213 is set to go down in Las Vegas for International Fight Week this summer. The event will take place on July 8. That being said, the fight card has not yet been officially announced. Speculation on the event’s main card as led to a recent rumor.
MMA journalist Jeremy Botter has recently gone to Twitter to say, “Lots of rumors circulating on Woodley vs. McGregor at UFC 213. No confirmation but Woodley’s starting camp.”
UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley is currently riding a victory over Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson from UFC 209 in March. However, UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor has not been inside the octagon since UFC 205 last year.
Still, Conor McGregor has been focusing his time on waiting for the birth of his child. The champion has also been attempting to string together a career high payday, cross-promotional bout with boxing phenom Floyd Mayweather Jr.
