Conor McGregor has kept it a mystery as to whether or not he will be stepping into the octagon or boxing ring for his next fight. “The Notorious” is waiting on negotiations with Floyd Mayweather Jr. to commence, and in the process, the fighter is training to keep in shape for whatever comes up next.
McGregor and Mayweather have been teasing this cross-sport super fight for over a year now and it seems like it may actually happen after months of rumors. The biggest road block in getting this scrap to happen was UFC President Dana White’s constant claims that he will not permit the fight, however, the boss recently revealed he would let McGregor fight despite being under contract with the UFC.
In the year since the bout has been teased, McGregor established himself as one of the biggest fighters in mixed martial arts history, earning some of the biggest paydays in the history of the sport. He made history when he became the champ-champ, holding both the featherweight and lightweight championships above his head at “UFC 205”.
McGregor never shies away from talking trash whether it be at a press conference or on his social media page. The fighter shows off a pair of black eyes in a recent photograph posted on Instagram; The fact that he says it was in Vegas may hint that it took place after a fight from yesteryear, but it’s a new shot of Conor sporting a black eye!
