Former Ultimate Fighting Championship bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey has gone to Instagram to show her support. Today marks the 102 year since the Armenian Genocide. In support, Rousey had sent a message to her fans.
Over Instagram, Rousey said “102 year ago today was the beginning of the #armeniangenocide – 1.5 million men women and children were murdered by Turkey. I couldn’t have more respect for the Armenian people demanding recognition year after year.”
Continuing her message, Rousey explained “Both the Turkish AND American government deny this genocide happened to this day. Its up to the people of Turkey and the USA to demand their politicians do the right thing. Demand the #TRUTH Demand Justice for those we lost #1915neveragain.”
Along with the message, Rousey added a video of a large crowd marching for the cause, creating awareness for the tragic event.
