With UFC 212 approaching, Anderson Silva is still short an opponent. “The Spider” was initially set to face off against Kelvin Gastelum. However, Gastelum has since been flagged by USADA for a potential anti-doping violation. Now, “The Spider” is without an opponent.
Since Gastelum’s removal from the event, a few fighters have come forward in hopes of facing the mixed martial arts legend. However, Anderson Silva is waiting for an offer to his liking.
As reported by Combate, the UFC promotion is now supposedly shooting for a 195 pound catchweight bout for “The Spider.” For his opponent, the UFC is allegedly considering Ovince St-Preux.
St-Preux is riding a submission victory over Marcos Rogerio de Lima at UFC Fight Night 108, pulling the fighter out of a three fight losing streak.
