Many thought CM Punk would be one fight and done in the UFC after he got blasted by Mickey Gall at UFC 203, losing by first-round submission.
Apparently, that won’t be the case as the former WWE champion told Fox Sports over the weekend he will be fighting again in the premiere MMA organization. He said it’s just a matter of an opponent and a date.
Someone has decided to throw their name into hat.
Former MMA fighter and current radio show host in Australia, Jason Ellis took to Twitter to challenge Punk to a fight inside the octagon. Ellis said he’s reached to the appropriate parties and it is up to Punk to accept the fight.
I texted Dana. I emailed Duke. I’ve tweeted Punk. This week I will get an answer, if he ducks you can’t say I didn’t try. #ellisvspunk

Ellis, who hosts The Jason Ellis Show on Sirius XM Radio has had one career MMA fight. The fight took place in 2009 with Ellis submitting Tony Gianopulos by guillotine choke.
But, he is more known for getting knocked out in a boxing match in 2016 by former interim UFC heavyweight champion Shane Carwin when the current Rizin fighter had one arm tied behind his back.
At least the matchup would be interesting as Punk and Ellis have only had one career fight and have been in the entertainment industry.
What do you guys think? Will the former WWE star accept the offer?
