Boxing phenom Canelo Alvarez put on a dominant display in last night’s non-title, grudge match boxing event. The fight went down in Las Vegas, Nevada inside the T-Mobile Arena. Alvarez went toe-to-toe with Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.
Alvarez put on a dominant performance as the fighter continued to pummel his opponent, as one round bled into the next. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. seemed to simply be outclassed in the night’s event, as the fighter failed to snare many dominant moments of his own.
In the end, the fight went the distance. After a session of punishing rounds, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. fased a unanimous decision loss to his opponent Canelo Alvarez. However, there was more news to come just after the performance.
Just after the fight had come to an end, boxing phenom Gennady “Triple G” Golovkin entered the ring. The fighter faced off with Canelo Alvarez and it was announced that the two boxers would meet toe-to-toe in the future.
Here is what some of the world’s top fighters thought of the announcement:
The only big fight outside of MMA I really care about is Buakaw v Yodsanklai
