Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight Matt “The Immortal” Brown faced a rough crowd at UFC 198 last year. The mixed martial artist was met with a mixed response from the audience and a few strikes from attendees during his walkout.
The fighter’s feud with the Brazilian crowd first began at the weigh-ins. After the audience began chanting against the fighter, Matt Brown flipped the crowd a pair of middle fingers. Then, the next day’s event held its own drama.
As Matt Brown walked out towards the octagon, fans began grabbing and flailing at the fighter. Matt Brown was struck twice in the head along his walk to the octagon. After that, a third attendee grabbed the fighter by the back of his hood. Security separated Matt Brown from the attendee, before the fighter could respond.
Matt Brown would go on to lose to Demian Maia by way of submission in the third round. Now, the fighter is coming off of a three fight losing streak. Most recently, Matt Brown suffered a knockout loss to Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone at UFC 206.
