Former Interim UFC Heavyweight Champion Shane Carwin recently revealed how much money he made in the UFC.
Carwin made a post on the MMA subreddit where he suggested UFC President Dana White and former UFC Middleweight Champion Luke Rockhold should get past their issues and “hug it out.” The two had been feuding over the UFC’s matchmaking in the middleweight division.
In the comments, someone made a joke about how White would respond to Carwin’s Reddit post and referred to Carwin’s fight against Lesnar.
“He can say anything he wants about that, he paid me about 2 mill to do so,” Carwin wrote.
Carwin fought Lesnar in July 2010 at UFC 116. To this day, that fight is one of the biggest fights in UFC history. It is one of the few UFC fights to sell over 1 million pay-per-views.
Carwin later made it clear that $2 million is how much he was paid all together, including sponsors and things of that nature.
