Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight champion Jon “Bones” Jones and top division contender Alexander “The Mauler” Gustafsson have engaged in a little Twitter war as of late.
Back in 2013, Gustafsson faced a unanimous decision loss to the champion at UFC 165. Now with Jon Jones coming near the end of his USADA enforced suspension from the sport for an anti-doping policy violation, the former champion is beginning to draw some attention from other fighters.
Over Twitter, Jones told Gustafsson “And here’s a little FYI, you didn’t lose against DC and I because of your cardio, it was because your lack of heart.”
In response, Gustafsson said “No my friend, against you it was because of the absence of @usantidopin.”
“Lol keep telling yourself that my son.” Jones retorted.
