The UFC is not going to be able to get out of the lawsuit against them filed by UFC heavyweight Mark Hunt.
Last week, Hunt’s lawsuit survived a motion to dismiss the case by the UFC.
Hunt is suing the UFC, along with UFC President Dana White and former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar, due to him believing all the parties knew Lesnar would test positive for performance-enhancing drugs for their fight last July.
At UFC 200, Hunt lost a decision to Lesnar. However, the fight was later ruled a no-contest due to Lesnar testing positive for PEDs.
When a fighter returns to the UFC after retiring, that fight must undergo months of testing by the U.S Anit-Doping Agency. However, the UFC granted Lesnar a waiver from that testing.
Hunt claims the UFC promised him they were testing Lesnar prior to the fight, but it appears they were not.
