UFC heavyweight contenders Derrick Lewis and Mark Hunt are officially set to do battle on Saturday.
On Friday, both Lewis and Hunt just barely made weight for their heavyweight fight.
Lewis weighed in at the heavyweight limit of 265 pounds. While weighing in, Lewis used a towel and held onto it poking fun at the weigh-ins for UFC 210 back in April.
At UFC 210, UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier was forced to use the towel in order to make weight for his title fight. However, it appeared Cormier held onto the towel which could have taken a few pounds off of the champion’s weight.
Hunt also weighed in a 265 pound making this upcoming fight literally one of the biggest fights in UFC history.
Lewis will fight Hunt in the main event of a UFC Fight Night event in Auckland, New Zealand. The event will air live Saturday night on FOX Sports 1.
#UFCAuckland weigh-ins are in the book. Everyone is official – even if @Thebeast_ufc did need a towel grab.
