The UFC made its long-awaited return to Oklahoma City for a special Sunday edition of UFC Fight Night.
The event featured a combination of former champions, top contenders, and rising prospects.
The UFC Fight Pass prelims were headlined by Jared Gordon fighting Michel Quinones.
Both fighters through body kicks to start the fight. Gordon was more active to start the fight, but Quinones wasn’t hesitant to throw offense of his own. Quinones went for a flying knee, but Goran retaliated with a takedown attempt. Gordon got the fight to the ground and took his opponent’s back. Quinones eventually fought his way back to his feet. Gordon then began to attack Quinones’ legs. The round ended with Gordon landing kicks to the body and legs.
Gordan and Quinones landed hard shots early in the round. Quinones went for a guillotine choke, but it allowed Gordon to secure top position. Gordon began landing ground-and-pound. Quinones fought his way up put was pushed back to the ground. Gordon unloaded on Quinones, who kept his composure and got back to his feet. Gordon didn’t slow down and landed another takedown. On the ground, Gordon pummelled Quinones with brutal strikes until the referee stepped in and stopped the fight.
