UFC lightweight contender Kevin Lee was shocked to find out he fought on top of human feces.
On Sunday, Lee earned the biggest win of his MMA career. In the main event of a UFC Fight Night event in Oklahoma City, Lee submitted fellow lightweight contender Michael Chiesa.
Two bouts prior to the main event, strawweights Felice Herrig and Justine Kish went to war. During the fight, Herrig had nearly choked Kish unconscious. This caused Kish to lose control and defecate on herself. She also made a mess in the cage.
“I’m telling you right now I had no idea,” Lee told TMZ Sports. “I was in a car riding on the way back to the hotel and somebody said ‘Yo, how did that girl poop herself?’ I was like ‘What?’ There should have been a disclaimer or something! And actually, when I got back to the hotel I asked Felice about it because I seen her, and she said that she smelt it and she thought it was a fart.”
“I’m telling you right here, right now, that I’m so glad Mario stopped my fight because if (Chiesa) would have (expletive) himself, I would have tapped. I would have stopped the fight myself.”
Lee’s submission win over Chiesa had its fair share of controversy. Referee Mario Yamasaki stepped in and stopped the fight before Chiesa had submitted or passed out from the rear-naked choke applied to him.
