Floyd “Money” Mayweather got the better of UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor at their third press conference.
However, there was one insult Mayweather kept throwing at McGregor that wasn’t actually bad.
Throughout Thursday’s press conference at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, Mayweather kept referring to McGregor as an “eejit.”
Eejit is an Irish or Scotish term for the world idiot, but the term is often used to show endearment. In Irish culture, the term is used for someone who is being foolish or funny. The term is usually said with a smile on your face.
Regardless, Mayweather tried his best to get under McGregor’s skin at their third consecutive press conference. The boxing legend also walked out onto the stage wrapped in an Irish flag.
Mayweather and McGregor are currently on a world press tour. Their fourth, and final press conference of the tour, will take place Friday in London.
Mayweather vs. McGregor will take place Aug. 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
