After two years, the UFC has returned to Glasgow, Scotland to host a special Sunday afternoon UFC Fight Night event.
The main card opened with a heavyweight battle featuring James Mulheron and Justin Willis.
Both fighters traded leg kicks before they started swinging punches. As the fight went on, both heavyweights became a little hesitant to engage. Mulheron aimed his punches to Willis’ midsection. Willis later landed a takedown. Mulheron fought his way back to his feet. Towards the end of the round, both fighters traded punches.
Mulheron started the fight with a spinning back kick. Both heavyweights then went back to trading punches in the center of the cage. Mulheron later landed a spinning back fist. Mulheron went for another spinning attack, but that allowed Willis to land a takedown. For the remainder of the round, Willis smothered Mulheron on the ground.
In the final round, both fighters struggled to produce damage early in the round. Eventually, the fighters fought inside a clinch up against the cage. Willis used that position to land a takedown. Mulheron fought his way back to his and started swinging to finish the round.
