Glasgow, Scotland played host to the UFC’s latest Fight Night event on Sunday afternoon.
The UFC Fight Pass prelims wrapped up with a bantamweight battle featuring Brett Johns and Albert Morales.
Neither fighter was hesitant to engage to start the fight. In the first minute, Johns secured a takedown. Johns smothered Morales on the ground. Johns landed punches and elbows from on top, while Morales tried to fight his way back up. The round ended with Johns on top, while landing powerful strikes.
Morales worked his jab to start the second round. Johns was patient and landed some clean shots of his own. Johns went for a takedown but Morales stuffed it. However, Johns got the fight to the ground with his second takedown attempt. From top position, Johns continued to throw strong shots. For the remainder of the round, Johns kept his dominant position and land punches from on top.
Both fighters came out swinging to start the final round. Morales had success on his feet, but Johns halted Morales success with a takedown attempt. After struggling for a little while, Johns got the fight to the ground. Johns then took Morales’ back. Morales managed to fight his way to his back, but Johns continued to land punches from on top. Johns went for an arm triangle, but Morales fought his way free. The fight ended with Johns and Morales traded punches on the ground.
