Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Hall of Famer Matt Hughes suffered a debilitating injury this year. The mixed martial arts legend was air lifted to a nearby hospital after his truck was struck by a train on the passenger side. The fighter quickly entered a coma.
However, the MMA veteran has since improved. Longtime head coach to Matt Hughes and fellow UFC Hall of Famer Patrick Miletich recently appeared on The MMA Hour. During the Hall of Famer’s interview with Ariel Helwani, Miletich revealed that he believes Matt Hughes will make a full recovery.
“He is surprising the doctors. He is making great leaps. He is no longer in a coma. He is improving.” Miletich stated.
When asked if he believes Matt Hughes will ever make a full recovery, the legendary coach responded “I’m 100 percent sure He is going to make a full recovery.”
