Yoel Romero recently got into a heated Twitter exchange with former UFC Middleweight Champion Luke Rockhold.
Romero recently claimed that Rockhold declined to fight him. Last Saturday, it was announced Rockhold will fight David Branch on September 16.
Rockhold responded by saying Romero actually turned down the fight because he didn’t want to fight five rounds.
“Remember when you were champion and you said no to fight me? That was 5 rounds. Remember the last time you took the easy fight?” Romero tweeted a Rockhold with a video of him getting knocked out by current UFC Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping.
Romero then said that he wanted to fight Rockhold at UFC 216 in October, but Rockhold wasn’t willing to wait.
“I am FIGHTER. I am no promoter. You? Maybe model, maybe actor, maybe husband. You and (Bisping) same guy same eyes. Go back to hiding,” Romero tweeted at Rockhold.
So @LukeRockhold didn't want to fight me ??♂️ @bisping you're up #seeyousoonboyyyyy
