This Is Really Gunnar Nelson, And How He Used to Roll Before Becoming a UFC Star

In honor of Gunnar Nelson’s birthday, John Kavanagh shared an embarrassing photo of the UFC welterweight contender.

Kavanagh is the head coach for both Nelson and UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor.

In honor of his 29th birthday, Kavanagh shared a photo on Twitter that shows a different side of Nelson.

In the photo, which can be seen below, Nelson looks like a wannabe pop star.

Nelson has become well known for showing no emotions during his fights. Apparently, Nelson can be a completely different person when he’s around his teammates.

Nelson is currently ranked No. 11 in the official UFC welterweight rankings.

In his last fight, Nelson was knocked out by Santiago Ponzinibbio at a UFC Fight Night in Scotland earlier this month.

Prior to the loss, Nelson was on a two-fight win streak that saw him submit Albert Tumenov and Alan Jouban.
