At UFC 214, the UFC crowned a new champion in the women’s featherweight division.
On Saturday, Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino fought Tonya Evinger for the vacant UFC Women’s Featherweight Championship.
“Cyborg” did what she has done for over a decade, and dominated her opponent for the entirety of the fight.
However, Evinger did put up a good fight against Justino. Evinger stood toe-to-toe with “Cyborg” for two rounds. In round three, Justino landed brutal knees against the cage that dropped Evinger. Eventually, the referee stepped in and awarded Justino the TKO victory.
With her win on Saturday, Justino has added a UFC title to her resume along with her Strikeforce and Invicta featherweight titles.
