Gabi Garcia latest MMA fight did not end the way she was hoping.
Last Saturday, Garcia’s fight against Oksana Gagloeva at a RIZIN event in Japan ended in just 16 seconds. In the beginning of the fight, Garcia accidentally poked Gagloeva in the eye. Gagloeva was unable to continue and the fight was ruled a no-contest.
This is the first time Garcia has not had her hand raised after an MMA fight. She was going into this fight undefeated with four wins.
In the photo below, you can see the damage Garcia’s eye poke did to Gagloeva. After seeing the damage done there is no doubt that the fight should have been stopped.
This was Garcia’s second fight in the month of July. Earlier in the month, Garcia competed in a shoot boxing match against Megumi Yabushita. That fight was also ruled a no contest after Garcia landed illegal soccer kicks on the ground.
