UFC welterweight Jake Ellenberger was sent to the emergency room after being injured by his young son.
On Thursday, Ellenberger shared a photo on his Instagram page of him with an injured right eye.
“Took an iPad mini in the eye,” Ellenberger said on Instagram. “My son whipped it behind him into my face yesterday @ 7am. Fun trip to the ER. Thought I was going to lose an eye.”
Luckily for Ellenberger, it appears not too much damage was done by his son’s iPad mini.
Ellenberger has been one of the top welterweights in the UFC for the majority of the past decade.
Recently, Ellenberger has hit a rough patch in his UFC career and has lost his last two fights.
In his last fight, Ellenberger was knocked out by Mike Perry.
Prior to that, he lost to Jorge Masvidal by TKO. However, his loss to Masvidal was covered in controversy because the stoppage came after Ellenberger’s foot got stuck between the cage and the canvas.
