On Monday, UFC commentator Brian Stann announced his departure from the UFC.
Stann decided to leave his commentary job after being offered a leadership role with a real estate firm. He will also be pursuing an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Stann’s UFC commentary was beloved by many fans and fighters due to his knowledge of MMA. Before being a commentator, Stann was one of the top fighters in the UFC middleweight division. Stann became a commentator after retiring from the sport following his last fight in 2013.
Stann’s UFC career is highlighted by knockout wins over Chris Leben and Jorge Santiago. He also had experience fighting some of the best fighters in the world including Phil Davis, Chael Sonnen, Wanderlei Silva, and current UFC Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping.
