UFC champion Conor McGregor is only days away from his professional boxing debut. However, the fighter has had to make the last of his preparations without one of his sparring partners.
After a series of sparring photos were leaked, former boxing champion Paul Malignaggi departed from McGregor’s training camp. Following the departure, things have become heated between the former boxing champion and McGregor’s team. Now, Paul Malignaggi has provided a statement on what may happen if the two meet face-to-face anytime soon.
In a recent interview with EsNews, while Paul Malignaggi was in Las Vegas, Malignaggi was asked about the potential of meeting the UFC champion face-to-face in Las Vegas. The former professional boxer replied, “We’ll find out. I’m working, but you know when he’s here he is going to say something. If he says something, I’m not exactly going to button my lips.”
Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather Jr. will face off Aug. 26 inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
