UFC commentator Joe Rogan has reacted to the news of UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones failing another drug test.
On Tuesday, it was revealed Jones had failed an in-competition drug test given to him by the U.S Anti-Doping Agency (USADA). The sample from Jones that tested positive was taken just a day before he defeated Daniel Cormier for the UFC title at UFC 214.
After hearing the news, Rogan responded by saying he is bummed and hopes that the failed drug test is a mistake.
“I will wait before the details are in before I comment, but I will say that I hope this is some insane mistake,” Rogan said on Instagram.
“I always hope whenever a fighter tests positive that it’s a mistake or that it’s a trace amount from a tainted supplement, and that’s exactly how I’m feeling now.
“Honestly I’m just extremely bummed out about this news.”
