UFC star Paige VanZant has confirmed that she is still a member of Team Alpha Male despite moving to Portland.
In preparation for her next fight, VanZant moved to Portland and is training alongside former UFC title challenger, and Oregon native, Chael Sonnen.
On the latest episode of The MMA Hour, VanZant said she moved to Portland in order to be closer to her family but says she is still a member of Team Alpha Male.
“I know for sure I’m always welcomed there,” VanZant said. “Urijah (Faber) is actually on my management team. We are still best friends.”
VanZant went on to say that she plans to cross train and travel back to Team Alpha Male in Sacramento, California in the future. However, she likes her entire training camps to take place at one camp so she will not train there prior to her next fight.
On Oct. 7, VanZant is scheduled to move up to the flyweight division. She will fight Jessica Eye at UFC 216 in Las Vegas.
