Former UFC Lightweight Champion Anthony Pettis will fight lightweight contender Dustin Poirier in the main event of a UFC Fight Night in Norfolk, Virginia.

On Wednesday, the UFC announced that this pivotal fight in the lightweight division would headline their upcoming Fight Night card in Virginia.

Pettis returned to the lightweight division, after a short stint as a featherweight, back in July. At UFC 213, Pettis earned a decision win against UFC veteran Jim Miller.

As a lightweight, Pettis’ career is highlighted by notable wins against Benson Henderson, Jeremy Stephens, Joe Lauzon, Donald Cerrone, and Gilbert Melendez.

Poirier is coming off a fight against former UFC Lightweight Champion Eddie Alvarez. The fight ended in a no-contest after Alvarez accidentally landed multiple illegal knees.

Prior to his last fight, Poirier also earned a decision win against Miller.

UFC Fight Night 120: Poirier vs. Pettis will take place Nov. 11 at the Ted Constant Convocation Center in Norfolk.
