UFC commentator Jon Anik seems to be forming a habit of making bets involving tattoos. This time, the commentator has decided to take a bet concerning UFC’s Demetrious Johnson.
Jon Anik first made a bet to his fans and podcast co-host Kenny Florian concerning Nate Diaz’s initial face off against Conor McGregor. If Diaz were to win against McGregor, Anik promised to get a tattoo of “209.” Nate Diaz, being from the 209 area code of California, would go on to choke out “Notorious” for a submission victory. And, well, Jon Anik kept his word.
Now Anik has made another bet. UFC flyweight champion Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson earned a submission victory over Ray Borg in last night’s UFC 216 co-main event. The victory made for Johnson’s 11th consecutive title defense, breaking Anderson Silva’s coveted UFC record.
Taking to Twitter Jon Anik revealed that if anybody breaks “Mighty Mouse’s” record, he will gladly get a tattoo to commemorate the achievement.
“I will even get a tattoo of some kind to honor whichever fighter breaks Demetrious Johnson’s UFC title-defense record. Wanna see it!”
