The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has made a change to one of the fights set for its upcoming UFC 217 card. UFC light heavyweight phenom Ovince Saint Preux is now set to compete in the night’s event.
Patrick Cummins was initially set to meet Corey Anderson inside the octagon for the highly anticipated fight card. However, as reported by News Day, Cummins has since been pulled from the fight due to a staph infection. In his place, Anderson will now be taking on Ovince Saint Preux.
“OSP” is currently on a two fight winning streak, with a spectacular submission victory over Yushin Okami at UFC Fight Night 117. Corey Anderson, on the other hand, was just dealt a first round knockout loss to Jimi Manuwa at UFC Fight Night 107.
UFC 217 goes down Nov. 4 inside the Madison Square Garden Arena in New York. The event will be broadcast live on pay-per-view.
