While former UFC welterweight champion Georges “Rush” St-Pierre remains respectful of Conor McGregor’s accomplishments, he doesn’t shy away from predicting the UFC lightweight champion’s eventual demise.

Taking to the UFC 217 pre-fight media scrum, GSP answered numerous questions about his return to UFC action in next weekend’s UFC 217 main event.

Also on the docket were media questions regarding what’s next for the former champion, should he make it past Michael Bisping.

Many believe GSP is looking at a historic run involving three UFC champions. The running theory is GSP takes out Bisping, Woodley, and then Conor McGregor. All while simultaneously becoming the only fighter in UFC history to capture gold in three divisions.

But none of that is certain, nor confirmed, and it’s not like it will be easy for GSP to take out three highly respected UFC champions.

But GSP believes there’s a fighter currently residing on the UFC roster, who also happens to be one of his Tri-Star teammates that can get the job done against McGregor. And that’s Irish Joe Duffy.

Duffy was the last man to defeat Conor McGregor, prior to the Nate Diaz loss, and with a lightweight run for the other Irish star, GSP predicts Joe Duffy can easily repeat history and take Conor’s crown.

Set to headline next week’s MSG card, Georges “Rush” St-Pierre returns to the Octagon for the first time in over four years. He will face off against the UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping in the UFC 217 main event, on pay-per-view.

Also on the night’s fight card is a long-awaited title fight between ex-teammates Cody Garbrandt and T.J. Dillasaw. And a big strawweight title fight between Joanna Jedrzerjczyk and “Thug” Rose Namajunas.
