The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has put another night of fights in the books. The mixed martial arts promotion was in Sydney, Australia on Saturday, Nov. 18, for UFC Fight Night 121. Inside the Qudos Bank Arena, the promotion hosted a series of interesting match ups.
That being said, the night did not feature a large number of finishes. In the 13 total fights held at UFC Fight Night 121, only three of those fights ended by submission or knockout. The other ten octagon performances of the night all went the distance, including the five round heavyweight main event.
Heavyweights Tai Tuivasa and Rashad Coulter put on a stunning show for the Sydney crowd, as Tuivasa earned a flying knee knockout over his opponent in the first round. Check out a replay of the moment below:
Heated rivals and former teammates Nik Lentz and Will Brooks finally met inside the octagon on Saturday, with Lentz earning a submission victory over the former Bellator lightweight champion in the second round.
Flyweight Ryan Benoit went toe-to-toe with Ashkan Mokhtarian in a fight that nearly went the distance. However, Benoit managed to put a stop to his opponent with a head kick knockout in the final round.
