It would seem the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is not the only mixed martial arts promotion dealing with fighters missing weight. Two competitors came up heavy on the scales for Invicta FC’s upcoming fight card on UFC Fight Pass.
Invicta FC 27 is set to go down Saturday, Jan. 13, inside the Scottish Rite Temple in Kansas City, Missouri. The event will be streamed live on UFC Fight Pass. At the weigh-ins for the exciting event, two fighters missed weight.
Headliner Sarah Kaufman is set to take on Pannie Kianzad for division dominance at the event. While the two are still set to face off, Kianzad hit the scales overweight for the match up. As a result, the fighter will be fined 25 percent of her fight purse.
Tiffany Masters, having weighed in at 117.4, also missed weight for her match up against Mallory Martin. Masters will also be finded 25 percent of her fight purse.

Uriah Hall was initially set to face off against MMA legend Vitor Belfort in the night’s co-main event. With that said, Hall has been pulled from the fight after failing to appear at the weigh-ins.
Zak Cummings also failed to show up to the weigh-ins, forcing the fighter out of his match up against Thiago Alves. Show opener Mads Burnell managed to hit the scales for the weigh-ins, but came in a massive four pounds heavy for his match up.
