The UFC returned to action for the first time in the new year with Sunday’s UFC Fight Night 124 event.
The night was capped off by an exciting featherweight bout between Jeremy Stephens and Doo Ho Choi, that saw Stephens earn a signature stoppage win in round 2.
Paige VanZant also returned to action after more than a year out of competition, and she broke her arm in round one of her fight against Jessica-Rose Clarke. She would fight through the injury to lose a decision.
Also on the card, a fight between Nike and the UFC’s official sponsor Reebok.
As seen in the video below, veteran referee Mario Yamasaki was wearing the official referee polo shirt from the state of Missouri, which happens to be a Nike Brand polo.
When the fight between James Krause and Alex White had concluded, a UFC official jumped in the cage and threw some black tape over the Nike Logo on Yamasaki’s shirt.
Reebok does not play.
