Before they were ever on the UFC and MMA radar, 15 year old Chris Weidman and 15 year old Ben Askren were all-stars on the high school wrestling circuit.
Both would go on to have spectacular amateur wrestling careers, but as we all know, Askren is considered one of the greatest amateur wrestlers of our generation.
These two would go on to win world titles in MMA. Weidman of course was the man to dethrone legend Anderson Silva. hH would defend his title multiple times at middleweight, before eventually losing the belt to Luke Rockhold.
Askren though, he recently retired undefeated after an international ass kicking tour that saw him gain the Bellator and ONE FC welterweight world titles.
Now, for the first time, an old match from 2001 has been released of the two competing against each other, and it was Askren who dominated Weidman in the match.
