Fight fans are tuning in for another exciting night of fights on Saturday, Jan. 20, as the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is hosting UFC 220. The event is going down inside the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts and the main card will be broadcast live on pay-per-view for fans worldwide. The night's FS1 featured preliminary card is currently underway as flyweights Dustin Ortiz and Alexandre Pantoja are currently facing off for division supremacy. The first round kicked off at a blistering pace, as Ortiz blasted forward with a quick combination. However, Pantoja fended off the blows and forced the fighter into the fence. Pantoja then managed to get Ortiz to the ground and take the fighter's back. From there, Pantoja began to pummel his opponent with ground and pound before securing a body lock over Ortiz. The two mixed martial arts warriors continued to fight for wrist control into the final minute of the round. However, Pantoja was able to sink in a submission attempt. Ortiz was finally able to make it back to his feet after fending off the submission. It was seemingly a dominant round for Pantoja. Ortiz kicked off the second round with a vengeance, shooting off a flurry of strikes. However, Pantoja refused to back down and began to trade with the fighter. Halfway through the round, Ortiz managed to force Pantoja to the fence. From there, Ortiz managed to get his opponent to the mat. But, Pantoja quickly returned to his feet. The fight returned to the center of the octagon for the final minute of the round, as the two fighters began teeing off on each other with a brawl of strikes. Ortiz quickly broke the brawl with a takedown attempt that sent Pantoja to the canvas. The last round opened with Pantoja immediately taking his opponent to the ground. Ortiz made his way to the fence, but struggled to get to his feet. Pantoja managed to once again get the back of his opponent within the final half of the round, sinking in another body lock from the position. Ortiz scrambled out of the dangerous position in the final minute of the fight, getting to his feet with a burst of strength.
