Former WWE superstar CM Punk has dropped a career in professional wrestling in order to pursue professional mixed martial arts. CM Punk, also known as Phil Brooks outside of the ring, made his octagon debut back at UFC 203, ultimately suffering a lopsided loss to Mickey Gall in the first round. Brooks made his big octagon return against Mike Jackson at UFC 225. However, Brooks suffered a lopsided unanimous decision loss to Mike Jackson in the match up. Now 0-2 in his MMA career, CM Punk is now set to make his debut behind the desk for an upcoming MMA event. UFC News As reported by MMA Junkie, CM Punk has signed with Cage Fury Fighting Championships as a commentator. CFFC 71 is set to go down Dec. 14 from within the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City. The event will feature CM Punk's big debut as an MMA commentator. CFFC 71 will air live on the Ultimate Fighting Championship's proprietary streaming service UFC Fight Pass. Offering a statement, CM Punk had the following to say about the recent signing. “I can’t wait for this opportunity to call the CFFC fights on UFC Fight Pass. CFFC has a long history of putting on exciting fights featuring some of the sport’s up-and-coming athletes.
