UFC Results: Hype Deserved! Covington Upsets DHK In Singapore, Proceeds To Call Out Everyone

https://twitter.com/ufc/status/876062637490028545 On Saturday the UFC returned to Singapore with an exciting Fight Night event featuring a plethora of former champions and top contenders. In the main event, former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm is set to do battle against former title challenger Bethe Correia. Before the elite bantamweights square off, the UFC once again presented a full day's worth of intriguing matches. On the main card, Colby Covington tried to prove he can compete against the best welterweights in the world as he fought Dong Hyun Kim. Covington got Kim to the ground in the beginning of the fight. Kim worked his way back to his feet, but couldn't break Covington's grip. Covington fought Kim back to the ground. Kim got back to his feet but still couldn't get Covington off of him. Covington went for a spinning elbow which allowed Kim to escape. At the end of the round, Covington landed another takedown. Kim made his way back to his feet to finish the opening round. Covington started the second round with throwing leg kicks. He went for a takedown, but Kim sprawled it. Covington then managed to take Kim's back and get him up against the cage. He then took the Korean fighter down. Kim would continue to fight back to his feet but he couldn't break Covington's grip. Covington then rocked Kim with a punch followed by a flying knee. He then once again took Kim to the ground. Kim got to his feet and managed to throw Covington, but he got back up and once again went for a takedown. Covington appeared to have more success when it came to striking to start the final round. He began landing punches and kicks at will, while Kim struggled to land. Covington then once again got Kim to the ground. For the majority of the remainder of the round, Kim struggled to get off of the fence. In the final minute, Kim landed a takedown of his own.
