New Footage Of Wrestler vs. Boxer Fight From 1930 Is The First Mixed Rules Bout On Tape — Watch!

It all had to start somewhere right? Many people remember Antonio Inoki vs. Muhammad Ali but this rivalry goes back even further than that. And while the video above is nothing like the modern version of mixed rules fights we see inside the UFC's octagon, it is likely the very oldest footage of an actual mixed rules bout or demonstration. Made in 1930, this video shows Olympic Silver Medalist Nat Pendleton demonstrating his wrestling techniques against a boxer. It's pretty epic.
