Blackzilians Owner Files Lawsuit Against Striking Coach Henri Hooft

Blackzillians owner Glenn Robinson has filed a lawsuit against striking coach Henri Hooft. Robinson, who owns JACO Hybrid Training Center LLC, has filed a lawsuit against Hooft regarding a noncompete clause in his contract. Hooft signed a contract with Robinson back in 2013 and has a clause in his contract where he could not train other fighters for two years after the contract was terminated. Hooft is currently a trainer at the Combat Club, which is also located in Florida along with the Blackzilians. The Combat Club features many fighters who once trained with the Blackzilians but decided to switch teams. MMAjunkie obtained a copy of the court order filed by Robinson back in June. The court order specifically names UFC fighters such as Anthony Johnson, Michael Johnson, and Kamaru Usman as fighters who left the Blackzilians to train with Hooft. “Based on Hooft’s continuing breach and violation of the restrictive covenant portion of the agreement, JACO is likely to suffer irreparable injury … and the public interest is served by the issuance of an injunction,” states the court order.
