The fighters kicked things off at a slower pace, the neither fighter was looking to enter a scrap. Rather, Lima managed to enter the clinch with Markos and forced the fighter to the fence. With less than a minute left in the round, Lima finally managed to take the fight away from the fence by scoring a takedown on her opponent. Transitioning into the mount position, the fighter finished the round with a flurry of ground and pound. Lima managed to trip her opponent quickly in the opening moments of the second round. However, the referee separated the fighters after a moment of inactivity on the mat. Back in the center of the octagon, Markos managed to get a takedown of her own. The fighters finished the round in a grappling struggle from the canvas. The final round opened up with Markos swiftly landing yet another takedown. Lima quickly pulled the fighter into her guard, minimizing the damage from Markos' ground and pound. Lima managed to get back to her feet in the final minute of the round, but Markos quickly forced the fighter back into the fence and back into the clinch.
