The New York Commission Just Banned Pooping In The Cage, Poop And It’s Now A TKO Loss

The New York State Athletic commission has made a bold new move towards getting rid of poop in the cage. Just this week, ahead of Saturday's UFC 217 event, the commission responsible for regulating Mixed Martial Arts in 'The Empire State' has banned poop, urine and vomit. And while it may be hard to believe that this rule has just been put into place, up until last year the sport wasn't even legal in New York. Should a fighter release any of these fluids from their body, they will lose via TKO, according to the new rules in place. Most recently at UFC Fight Night 112, UFC strawweight Justine Kish soiled herself and her oppponent Felice Herrig during their fight in Oklahoma City. This year's return trip to Madison Square Garden is proof the UFC can still deliver a stacked mega-card, with all the bells and whistles. Set to headline next week's MSG card, Georges "Rush" St-Pierre returns to the Octagon for the first time in over four years. He will face off against the UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping in the UFC 217 main event, on pay-per-view. Also on the night's fight card is a long-awaited title fight between ex-teammates Cody Garbrandt and T.J. Dillashaw. And a big strawweight title fight between Joanna Jedrzerjczyk and "Thug" Rose Namajunas.
