Ratings Report: UFC 228 TV Ratings Hit New Low For 2018

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) hosted an exciting night of fights over the weekend. That being said, it would appear that the night's preliminary card failed to attract sizable ratings. The highly anticipated fight card for UFC 228 took place on Saturday, Sept. 8. Live on pay-per-view for fight fans around the world, the stunning event went down within the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. Headlining the night's event, UFC welterweight champion Tyroon Woodley earned a second round submission victory over formerly undefeated rising challenger Darren Till. While the event's main card was a pay-per-view showing, the preliminary card for UFC 228 was subject to ratings. As reported by MMA Fighting, the UFC 228 preliminary card struck a ratings total of 560,000 average viewers. This is the lowest total ratings average for a UFC preliminary card for all of 2018.
